Project Value: £500k
This project was a Design and Build contract and involved the refurbishment and internal remodelling works to two existing buildings on the site.
Granary Building – Comprising minor internal remodelling works, including new glazed partitions, adaptions and replacement of doors, new windows, access controls, new finishes throughout and new mechanical and electrical installations.
Stables and Warehouse Building – The works to the existing stables comprised of internal remodelling including extending into the neighbouring warehouse building, new internal partitions including cavity blockwork to separate the newly formed offices from the noisy warehouse, new finishes, new sanitaryware, new kitchenette, adaption and replacement of doors, new Crittal style windows and new mechanical and electrical installations.
External works consisted of the demolition and re-working of some existing cattle pens in order to create some additional storage space, plus the formation of new decorative planter areas complete with external lighting.
The standard of finish required involved some very difficult detailing during the pre-construction phase and we worked tirelessly with our own Architect and the Employers Agent to ensure we provided the Client with exactly what was expected. In addition to working with the Employers Agent we also worked hand in hand with the Clients own interior designer and Artisan Tradesmen who supplied and installed the high spec fixed furniture.
All of the works had to be carried out on a busy working farm and involved a great deal of communication and co-ordination with the Farm Manager so as not to disrupt their day to day activities.
