Quex Park
This listed building was converted from an existing
bell tower and stable blocks into office accommodation
over two phases.
The works comprised the removal of stable partitions
and feeding troughs on the ground floor together with
the coach house flats on the first floor. The floors
were completely re-structured in consideration of the
change of use and included Conservation compliant joinery
to match that consistent with the original bell tower
and coach house period.
The existing Victorian clock, which still chimes every
15 minutes and is wound manually once a week, was carefully
protected and maintained for the duration of the refurbishment
and alteration works.
Bath stone copings were replaced to match existing
ones in certain locations and areas of brickwork were
re-pointed using the tuck pointing method.
