Kent Cricket Club - The Ames Levitt
cricket school
A Design and Build contract which entailed the construction
of a new indoor cricket teaching facility to meet the
requirements set by the ECB.
S.T. Abbott delivered, on time, a six lane indoor
cricket school which also provided for winter cricket
competitions. The construction included a viewing gallery
balcony suspended from the roof together with a bar
and lounge area.
The indoor cricket school was so successful with organizations
outside of the Kent Cricket Club, S.T. Abbott were commissioned
within a period of two years of opening the main hall
to enlarge the lounge facilities to provide cooking
and dining areas.
S.T. Abbott is greatly indebted to the late Brian
Luckhurst, the Kent and England opening batsman, for
his input and guidance throughout the project. Brian
successfully managed the school until his retirement. |
