Demelza House, Sittingbourne
The project comprised a large extension to the front
of the hospice and various internal alterations. The
works also included the construction of a new teaching
and dance room block within the confines of the campus.
Restrictive access provided for a challenging build
as a result of the proximity of the new building to
the existing one. Day to day activities were maintained
without disruption by forming a temporary access route
across the front gardens.
The new extension is used as a soft play area for
the children and is a steel framed construction with
brickwork and blockwork walls. A lift was also installed.
The internal alterations were for the refurbishment
of the existing wet area and other play facilities.
