This fast track refurbishment of an existing industrial unit was completed on time and to budget. The existing pitched roof section of the building was constructed using corrugated asbestos sheeting and this roofing was over clad with new plastisol coated corrugated steel with lined gutters and new roof lights as an alternative to cleaning and repair. The rear section of the building had a much higher flat roof and this was completely replaced with a new built up felt roofing system. Cladding to the rear elevation was also replaced together with new electrically operated roller shutter doors.
Internally the unit was stripped out including all electrical installations. A new fire alarm and emergency lighting system was installed and existing welfare areas were refurbished. The unit was completely re-decorated including specialist floor painting. External works included new drainage, brickwork repairs and gravel dressing of both front and rear parking areas.
